Wedding Rings

One of my first wedding planning obsessions has been looking for wedding rings. We really don't need to buy wedding rings any time soon, and really we probably shouldn't. I couldn't imagine having my wedding ring right now and being almost 2 years away from actually being able to wear it! And what if my taste changed and I realized closer to the wedding that I didn't like it anymore?! Well anyway... it can't hurt to look! Right?

For reference, my engagement ring looks like this:

I can't actually get a decent picture of my ring with my camera. I'm still not sure why, I've followed all of the tutorials and what-not. I think it's just my camera. Anyway, as you can see, a regular wedding band is not going to sit flush with the ring. Soooo I can either get a curved band or deal with a gap. I'll probably end up with a gap because I want the ability to wear my wedding band without my engagement ring sometimes.

Here are some wedding rings that I love.

Uhmm... Hello Gorgeous! I think this ring is unbelievably beautiful. Buuuut I'm not sure if it's me. I'm not sure how well it wouuld really go with my e-ring and I'd like to try them on together before we actually bought it. But with BlueNile, you can't do that. The ring is also made of platinum. But my e-ring is white gold. Can you mix like that? Would it look weird? Oh and there is also the small detail that it's pretty pricey! NEXT!

This one is a little more practical than the last one but I'm not sure I love it as much. It's a little cheaper and is defenitely more understated. It's defenitely a possibility. I'm sure there are similar rings I could try on at any jewlery store and I could defenitley get it in white gold to match my e-ring.

This one is similar to the last, the only difference is how the diamonds are set. I'm not sure which I prefer. I think I would really need to try them on and see them in person. This one is also cheaper than either of the others. I think I like it more than the second one, but not as much as the first one.

I reeeaaaaally like this one. I would say it's at a tie with #1. The design is gorgeous and it could easily be worn alone. BUT, could it be worn with my e-ring too? I would defenitely have to try this one on with my e-ring to see how they look together. Who knows, maybe the intricate design of this Tacori would look really good with my plain band e-ring! However, being Tacori, I'm sure it's a bit expensive. So that may knock it out of the running.

Did you notice a trend with all of these potential wedding rings? I'll give you a hint, they're all eternity rings. As much as I would love an eternity ring, I'm not sure it's a good idea. I've heard that it can get a lot of wear and tear on the "bottom" and that occasionally diamonds even get knocked out. I don't want that!

Do you have any experience with eternity rings? Are they good? Bad?

And does anyone know if I can mix white gold and platinum? Will it look awful?
